oes anyone else remember A'ME? They made the coolest brake hoods back in the 80s - with wild colors and different ergonomics. Everyone had them. They weren't accessories, they were essentials. Thinking back on all those day-glo colors makes our heads hurt a bit.
When dual-control (STI & Ergo) levers came out, A'ME went the way of the Members Only jacket and faded into memory. Certainly we would not argue with the superiority of the new brake/shift levers, but nearly two decades of exclusively black brake hoods finally got to be too much for us. So after a bit of reminiscing and complaining, darn it, we did something about it.
Introducing HUDZ. Better ergonomics, a range of colors, and yes, pink too (sorry, no day-glo). We're not suggesting that everyone go on an 80s-kick and buy a leather hair net and wood-soled shoes, but this makes sense.
Experts say "white is the new black." We say sport whatever color you like, and "Grab the Hudz."
