ongratulations to team CSC, Tour de France Champion Carlos Sastre, and Best Young Rider Andy Schleck. Their performance in the 2008 edition of the world's greatest cycling race is one that will not soon be forgotten. Hudz was honored to be included in Carlos and Andy's ride to Paris for the completion of the 3560 km race.
Taking the top prize in three separate categories in Paris (team, overall, and best young rider) is a rarely matched feat in the history of the Tour. So effective were the team's tactics that when it came to the final time trial - the last place that overall leader Sastre could lose the yellow jersey - his most dangerous rivals had no strength left to overcome the Spaniard's gains won on the legendary l'Alpe d'Huez.
In honor of the team's great achievements, we sent over yellow and white Hudz for the team to ride into Paris. On Sunday both Andy Schleck and Carlos Sastre hit the Champs Elsees with white and yellow Hudz and matching bar tape on their bicycles.
So here's to Carlos, and Andy, the CSC Tour team, Bjarne and the directors, and all the CSC sponsors who made three weeks in July so exciting. And to Carlos - it couldn't have happened to a better man, enhorabuena!
